Manor House of Betliar - Part I

The manor house dates from the early 18th century and it was built on the foundations of the older Renaissance mansion of Bebekovec. It was built by Stephen Andrasi as a fortified, fortified manor house with four corner towers.The owner of the manor house was the Andrassy's family.

The Interior

The manor house filled the Andrassians with a wealth of precious furniture, works of art, and collections. The original library was founded by Leopold Andráš in the second half of the 18th century. Its interior dates from 1792 to 1795. The fund consists mainly of scientific literature of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The collection of paintings is made up of paintings, particularly paintings by realists of the 19th century.

The second part of the collections (on the ground floor) are imported exotic items and hunting trophies that do not have the same value as artistic collections.

The park attracts not only the pond, but also smaller garden constructions (pavilions, grots, water jets). It has rare exotic trees and remains of an ancient yew forest.
